As someone who is archives-adjacent and doesn't want the content to disappear, I like projects meant to capture the history of fandom, and I do want people to be associated with their work...so long as doing so wouldn't be a mostly negative affair. I would like to believe that with an increase in acceptance of fandom (of all pairings and types of work), it will be less of a devastating blow to someone for their name to be associated with work they've done in the past, but I realize that's not a universal, and there are always good reasons for people not wanting their wallet names associated with their fanworks.
So it's my hope that as we continue to aggregate and make material available, there's a corresponding increase in the acceptability of fandom and the understanding that this is for studying the history of fandom, not dredging up old things to wank at them in a new era. Maybe I'm weird, though.
