List of Upcoming Virtual Fan Run Conventions

I am looking for links to /recs for virtual fan conventions - fan run vs for profit. My focus is mainly on TV and movie tie in, but anime is welcomed as is book and fanvids. Many of the old school in person fan run conventions are now being held online so this is opening up access to many fan

Kumoricon is doing a "DigiKumo" event November 6-8, 2020. Very little has been posted so far, since the reschedule of the in-person event was only announced two days ago, and what has been posted is pretty buried in the reschedule announcement, but there will be more info as it comes available.

Con.txt is this coming weekend! It's a general fancom with panels that run a gamut. There's going to be Zoom panels and a Discord server (which I'm volunteering to moderate part time).

The second Ineffable Con is coming up this fall. The organizers did a good job with the first one, turning a planned in-person event into a virtual one in just a couple of months.

I assume you know about this year's Worldcon, which was supposed to be held in New Zealand, and is being held virtually. It's fan run, though I happen to think $300 NZ is a hella lot of money for a virtual event.

I echo the rec for Con.txt; it's my local con, and I've always enjoyed it. Here are some places tracking virtual cons:

Dragoncon in Atlanta is going virtual this year. There will be some new content and some old, streamed through Vimeo (I am one of the volunteers helping with that). More information will be coming but the best place to check for news is here: https://www.dragoncon.org/updates/

If you follow BASFA [the Bay Area Science Fiction Association] either here on Dreamwidth or Facebook, there are both reviews of conventions and announcements of upcoming conventions in the club minutes. BASFA meets on Monday nights, 8pm and is currently holding meetings using ZOOM.
