I love this vid. Your exquisite pacing gives it a sense of... melancholy and inevitability. I love the clips of the Doctor running and running, and with the flames behind him, he is always running away from his ghosts. (I think. I *guess*. I interpret!) This was the first Dr. Who vid I saw after [livejournal.com profile] elynross *forced* me to watch the series (*g*), so it imprinted on me!

Also, I think this is a great idea secondarily. We vidders should offer up an imeem of a vid every now and then, just to give our flists a treat. That's what your post felt like to me this afternoon--work, work, work, OH LOOK! [click]

hahaha. vidding treats. I am slooowly moving my older vids over to iMeem because I love streaming. I am also reposting some of my stories here. It helps while I tread water trying to generate some creative energy.

ps. and yes the Doctor is running from his ghosts. of course I didn't exactly think of that at the time...I was trying to find different ways of editing the same 15 seconds of promo material so it would look spooky. My favorite part is where I used a mirror effect on the fireball to make it look alive.

Oh, yay! This is the vid that got me into Doctor Who/DW fandom.

I watched it at Vividcon and came away with a burning need to start watching the series. And I had no clue about most of the stuff (though, because of QaF UK, I could recite all the Doctor actor's names) -- I thought that maybe that golden glowing stuff at the end was the Doctor and that he was an alien that possessed people. Good times. While it's even better when I actually know what's going on, it was still amazing back when I had no clue who the people involved were.

such a wonderful show!! it grabbed me when I thought I'd never find another fandom again. (this was before SPN ate my brain).
