Star Trek Fan Film 1971
Aug. 4th, 2011 08:59 amSo today I am working on creating a Fanlore page for the first Star Trek convention held in 1972 in New York. I am surprised to find very little documentation of this key moment in fandom history. There are a few blogs that offer more details and photos but they are transitory and scattered. The bulk of my job has been tracking them down, pulling excerpts and verifying the sites are archived.
And here is a treat I stumbled across
Youtube comments: ''"This video was a final exam in a TV production class that I took at Ohio State back in the spring of 1971. Even as a lad of 21, I always had to have everything preserved!! I had this taped on 1" open-reel videotape, then transferred it to U-Matic and then to Beta. (I got an A-.)"''
