Sometime around 2007 (possibly around the time of the Great LJ Strikethrough), I opined that when fandom went online, we opened the blinds, pulled back the curtains, turned on the lights and kept dancing naked in the kitchen to Madonna's Vogue as we had been doing in relative obscurity for decades...and were shocked and surprised when the neighbors took notice.

And on some days, I am right there with parts of  fandom, racing for the light switch and fumbling for the curtains. And on other days,  I am all "Vogue, strike a pose there's nothing to it."
