I think the AO3 is still far safer than any other commercially run platform. At the very least, their policy allows for fanfic which puts us much further along the path of getting this fixed. I don't know what investigation they did at their end....but here goes
1. Angel in the Dark was reported as a non-fanwork
2. During the course of their investigation (!!!), they "discovered that your [other] works" may have been uploaded without permission. Please provide proof of permission and "and include a prominent citation in the author’s notes at the beginning, linking back to the original if this is at all possible." (For this second part, I suggested a link to the Fanlore fanzine pages which lists the stories credited to Thomas in their table of contents. Fanlore also has a screencap of her old fic website (now offline) that lists the stories.)
3. "Because of this infringement [of the non-fanwork? or was it an infringement of the "you don't have proof of permission"?] a formal warning has been placed on your account. Further infractions of the Terms of Service may lead to the temporary or permanent suspension of your account. "
4. If you don't reply within [ONE WEEK] your other work will be deleted.
Still waiting to hear back from them, but it has only been 24 hrs since my email.
