My Uncle Passed Away On Saturday

He was 78, the baby of the family. My mother and her older sister are the only ones left out of a family of 9.
From the day he had symptoms to the day he died was less than 26 days. He was hospitalized about 10 days after his symptoms started. His partner of 40+ years had fallen ill first, then he recovered and my Uncle was certain it had passed him by. It did not. I wish I could say he had a peaceful death. He did not.
So please, if you protect yourself you will also be protecting your loved ones because family member to family member transmission is a primary vector. Follow the stay at home orders. And if you live in a state or country without a stay at home order or where they are about to lift it - have everyone in your household minimize outside contact as much as possible. Do not become complacent. Wear a mask when outside. At the first sign of illness, isolate your family member in their own room (the CDC has good guidelines on what to do when someone falls ill). And tell each other that you love them.
