Dear Diary....
May. 14th, 2013 12:48 pmLast night I connected with an old Star Trek fanzine publisher whose first words to me were: "I was wondering when the zine people were going to call me." This is in connection with one of the fanzine preservation projects that I've been working on (no, there is no shellacking involved, although box cutters and glue have been used on occasion).
We had an animated chat and she expressed appreciation for all the work that is being done to preserve and document fandom history: both the Open Doors fanzine archives as well as Fanlore. Me, I expressed appreciation for her appreciation because sometimes working on the fandom history projects can get discouraging.
