This is my approximation of a 2016 political post about Trump's sexual harassment and denigrating of women. It took me 2 days to get this reposted to Tumblr. I explain the problem with Tumblr's automated flagging system and how they fail to follow their own policies here..

In case these images disappear from Tumblr, you can see my reblogged post archived here

This political post from 2016 was censored by Tumblr in December 2018. I have contacted the OP

#SignedByTrump

Only a few of the quotes that the President Elect, Donald Trump, has said about women.

After many many hours, my photography final is FINALLY finished. It has been deleted off Facebook and Instagram, so I’m hoping it can stay up on Tumblr.

Edit: If you would like to credit me or get ahold of me the best way is my facebook Aria Watson, or Instagram @a.riawatson

Tumblr has implemented  a policy against images with genitalia or  female presenting nipples...unless the nudity is part of a political protest. They even added a photo of topless women protesting in the streets as part of their "this is OK" examples.*

So when I saw this 2016 political protest photo-shoot with partially clothed women wearing misogynistic and harassing comments from Donald Trump, I figured it would be a no brainer to get it reinstated.**

It wasn't. What follows took place over a 2 day span.

I reblogged the original post "as is". It was flagged and I appealed. They denied my appeal and blocked the original post once again. Since the post had 6 images, I was not certain  which one one triggered the ban. So I posted them one by one.

It was not this image

It was not this image

Surprisingly it was not this image

Or these next two images

It was this image. You may need to  squint but there is a small amount of pubic hair visible on the left.
Or you can look at the original image which still can be seen on Tumblr via the direct link
(yeah.....even if they block an image in a post like they did here, if you have the direct URL, you can see the image).

So I edited the photo, covered up the pubic hair with the word Trump. Submitted it. It was flagged. I appealed and they approved it.

And then....I took a screen-cap of the flagged original and posted it. It was flagged, I appealed and....it was approved.

So I now had two approved images.  The original (but only as a screen-cap version) and a modified version with the pubic hair hidden.

So I posted the entire set of images....with the original  "pussy" photo in screencap format. The one that remains online as we speak.

It was flagged, I appealed and.....they refused to allow the set of images.

So I went back to the second edited photo - the one that had been approved after I removed all trace of pubic hair and that is also still online today. It was flagged, I appealed and...they refused.

I decided to make a post about the experience. I titled it "Tumblr Fails 673". I included a copy of the edited image, the one that had been approved as a stand alone image but not as part of the set.  "Tumblr Fails 673".  was flagged even in draft form. Once flagged I could not edit on the phone so I could not post it. I had to log in on my desktop.  Anyhow, I posted it,, appealed and...they refused.

I finally added a screencap of "Tumblr Fails 673" to a second post  about Tumblr censorship: "Tumblr Fails 674". But this time I edited the "once approved, now no longer approved image (but only in some cases) image with no pubic hair visible" to include  some pointed red text.  It was flagged, I appealed...and they allowed it to through. You can read here

(and if they ban it again you can see it archived here.

*“Banned content includes photos, videos, and GIFs of human genitalia, female-presenting nipples, and any media involving sex acts, including illustrations. The exceptions include nude classical statues and political protests that feature nudity. “

**Seconds after making this Dreamwidth post public, Tumblr banned my edited reblog of the 2016 political post . That reblog used only edited, Tumblr approved  images. I submitted another appeal  and it was denied. You can see my reblog archived here.
