I answered "slash" (dreamt last night you were in my arms sealed it for me), but this just harkens back to the Kazcon thing. So ridiculous. Do het vids that are nonexplicit also get shown late at night, or is it just for Teh Gay?

actually I was wrong - Slash vids are shown after Mature vids - which starts at 9pm. This explains why people have said that the Slash vids often do not get shown until 11pm or later

The vid is a look at 4 of Sam's relationships, and only one of them can be interpreted as slash, and only if you want to since Sam and Dean do love each other in Gen as well. So I would go with Gen.

I said "gen" because the final character is Jess, which dilutes the fact that Dean = Love.

Also, I think as many people as possible should see this vid, which is currently my favorite in the fandom despite (or because) it makes me *cry like a baby*, and I'm prepared to cheat.

Well, I'm a troublemaker, and I'd love to see it submitted as gen because I find the whole segregation stupid and offensive, and I'd love to see it (arguably) undermined.

Which do I think the vid is? Probably depends on my mood; it could be read either way. Is your interpretation definitive? (Rhetorical question, no need to wreck your wrists trying to answer that!) I'm sure if it were shown as gen, someone could be all "omigod you LYING PERV, that was slash," whereupon you could easily get away with a raised eyebrow and "Wow, you have a dirty mind! They're brothers, they love each other, get over yourself"; and equally, if it were shown as slash, someone could wonder why it had been segregated, since for heaven's sake, there's nothing slashy about it.

But yay for the fan doing volunteer work to allow you to show vids there!

The first 3/4 of the vid were solidly gen to me. The last 1/4 pinged my slash meter in a few places, but it takes so little to do that. *g*
I voted gen.

It's nice to see a Sam-centric vid, too. I haven't run across too many of them.

For MediaWest this is GEN. Should be in the main show - one of better SPN vids that uses the horror of their lives, and uses it well, not just the pain and angst written on their faces, and it's wonderfully *hopeless* - I love that! (I'm a heretic, you know - I am *so* not a fan of the show, I think many of the vids I've seen are much better than the show, and this is one of them )

I couldn't answer because you didn't have an answer that just said "yes" (but then, I suppose neither does MediaWest, which, I guess, is the point ;P ). I just watched it last night, and aside from being a wonderful vid, I could read it either way, depending on how I felt, what I wanted to get out of it...

I really think this vid can be read either way -- you'll see slash if you're a slasher but I think it could be read as fraternal love just as easily (kinda like the show itself that way ;) ). I'd say submit it as gen, especially since slash gets segregated.

Go wih gen. If it can be read as both, you can always say a person has slash goggles if they read it as another way. And going against an IMO, stupid policy is always good.

Make it gen. For all the reasons the_shoshanna mentioned. The vid is nowhere overtly slash, and though you can't control how people will 'read' it, that's up to them.

Gen because it's more about whom Sam loves, that just Dean and Sam (at least, the way I see it)...and also, it seems I missed this the first time around, would you have the time/inclination to upload it somewhere so that I can happily save it? Pretty please? The initial sequence with all the lightenings is just...wow.
