Google and LJ Spam

"Gmail has suddenly started seeing LJ notifications as spam. 

You can set up a filter by clicking on the little gear icon under your sign-in name (top right) and selecting "settings", then "filters". Select "create a new filter" and put lj_notify@livejournal.com in the "from" field, then choose "continue" at the bottom and check the box that says "never send to spam", then save or update.

 Or you can just check the "not spam" box on any messages and hope gmail will catch on for the future, but I wouldn't count on it!

LJ's been forcing me to play musical email accounts for years, and I don't even have gmail. Super-annoying in any case.

This week Gmail has decided that about half our inbound email at work is spam.

So...it's not just fannish stuff. It's been a major hassle in a week when I didn't need even a minor hassle.

Thanks for this! I sometimes do find notifications in my spam box and I never quite knew how to fix that.
