Jeff Sessions’ Coming War on Legal Marijuana:

This is the man that the Republicans want to serve as US AG. A man who once joked that he liked the “KKK until he found out they smoked pot.”
Please call your Senators to tell them to stop Jeff Sessions. Congress refused to confirm him as federal judge in the 1980s and his record has only gotten worse. Confirmation hearings are next week (Jan 10, 2017). Scripts and who to call here: http://ift.tt/2j8qGww
Oh and then there is this from our new proposed Attorney General. The man who will be sworn in to uphold our laws and the US Constitution.:
[In response to the US Supreme Court’s ruling affirming gay marriage (2015)]“
“Sessions said Wednesday he’s concerned that others, including businesses and schools, could be forced by courts to meet “new standards.” He described the aftermath as uncertain, before swelling into a tirade about the ruling itself.
Citing dissenting opinions in the case, Sessions mocked the makeup of the high court and scoffed at the idea that “activist judges” have such sweeping power.
“This whole idea that some people have that they’re a superior branch is not accurate, in my opinion. It’s really not accurate in my opinion,” Sessions said, drawing laughter and applause from the Montgomery crowd. “Boy, 535 in Congress, we’re at least as good as nine on the Supreme Court. For heaven’s sake, we’re actually elected by people and accountable. You can vote me out of office.
"Now, (the Supreme Court) have taken it on themselves to decide matters that have always been the people’s issues to decide. If they’re so smart and they’re so brilliant, why did four of them dissent? They’re not endowed with superhuman wisdom! Give me a break!”
