With the Baba Yaga myth as a backdrop this is a Sam and Dean who are messy and vulnerable and human and true.
Hunger of Old Mouths byplutogirl10 (Sam/Dean, R)
To quotekillabeez: "It's one of those slash-notslash stories, in that outside circumstances push the [slash] issue in a way that completely and totally works for me. It's like a have your cake and eat it too kind of story, and so satisfying in that regard, particularly for someone like me who loves the Wincest like burning, but also desperately needs to have it flow out of the characters as we see them on the show."
The Knuckles of Skinnybone Tree byhansbekhart (Sam/Dean, NC17)
Summary: John Winchester walks the badlands, lost on the Path of the Dead, when he meets two mysterious men: a pair of hunters chasing the same ghost that he is, who tell him that he's wound up more than twenty years in the future. They promise to get him back to his own time - back to his young children - but refuse to tell him anything about themselves. The three men find themselves entangled with the warring spirits of the land, but John is pursued by nightmares and caught up between the two hunters, who are keeping secrets that John doesn't understand.
And a bonus RPS story that blew me away this evening:
Untitled Jared Padelecki Project (Jared/Jensen, R/NC17, RPS).
Well plotted, painful and very intense. I loved watching this story unfold.It was like origami.
Summary: After Supernatural, Jensen and Jared aren't talking. But a film's a film and Jensen could really use the money.
